We teach all subjects and life skills in the context of our relationship with Jesus Christ and we follow the mission and vision of the congregation.
Academically Strong
Zion's academic strength stems from its outstanding teachers, Bible-based curriculum (reviewed annually) and advanced technology including Smart Boards and Chromebooks. Zion is accredited by the NLSA - National Lutheran School Accreditation.
Respectfully Operated
We respectfully operate Zion by being professionally equipped, maintaining courtesy and promptness, and infusing contagious enthusiasm.
A Brief History
From the early years of Zion Lutheran Church, Christian Education has been important to the members of the congregation. The congregation started Zion Lutheran School in 1912. Since that time, four building projects have expanded the ministry of Zion Lutheran School. The original school building was built in 1921. In 1977 a new classroom and gym addition was built next to the older building. In 1988 the two buildings were connected and the 1921 section was completely remodeled. In 2013 the addition of four new classrooms was added to give the school more space. In 2022 Zion Lutheran Church approved another classroom addition. This three-classroom addition was completed in 2023 and allows the school to have single-grade classrooms all located in the school building.
